Oakton and Vienna receive a blanket of the fluffy, white stuff.  I should have known with my kids wearing their pajamas inside out that it was inevitable.

Now we have to deal with the strong winds and the dropping temperatures.

I'll be out shoveling soon so as to give the sun which occasionally pops through an opportunity to assist in clearing the driveway.  Here at home, near Hunter Mill and Vale we received about 3 to four inches of snow.

Gardeners take heart:  the temperatures for this coming weekend are forecasted to be in the low 60's.
